Today I would like to talk about an inexpensive, but quite good semi-synthetic - MANNOL 10W-40. I often read user reviews to know which oils are popular, for which cars they are best suited and how well they have proven themselves in operation. Then, I use the information received when communicating with clients at the service station.
Engine oil Manol 10W 40 surprised me a little. On the one hand, it is a very inexpensive product that has controversial customer reviews, and on the other hand, it has a pretty good composition that is distinguished by its universal properties. My review will be useful for drivers who cannot yet decide whether they should purchase such a product.
Brief Product Description
MANNOL 10W-40 all-season lubricant was developed on a high-quality base basis with the addition of a package of universal additives that perform various functions. Thanks to this manufacturing scheme, the finished product perfectly protects the engine from wear and friction, prevents the formation of various harmful deposits, and allows you to save fuel.
The lubricant has good technical performance and is resistant to oxidation. The substance tolerates low and high temperatures well, which is ensured due to its stable viscosity. The composition practically does not thicken in cold weather and does not liquefy in hot weather. The substance is suitable for cold starts, and also reduces noise and vibration in the engine.
Review of Mannol Molibden Benzin 10W-40 oil
The oil does not have any outstanding qualities; there are competitors with much better performance. The only factor why drivers choose it is the molybdenum in its composition, but this is also a controversial issue, since its benefit or harm to the engine is a matter of debate, but that’s not the point now. Oil will not provide a reserve in cold weather and in general I would not fill it in winter if the car needs to be used constantly. If you are one of those drivers who can afford to leave the car in the garage in severe frosts, then this is for you. Suitable for summer use or the southern regions of the country, where in winter the temperature hardly drops below -15.
Technical parameters of the lubricant
Manol 10W-40 lubricant is versatile and suitable for different types of engines. Actually, lubricant can be poured into units running on gasoline and diesel fuel, and it is also suitable for gas engines. The product works well with turbocharging and direct injection. The oil is suitable for multi-valve engines.
Experts recommend filling vehicles with lubricant from manufacturers such as Mercedes-Benz and Renault, and from the Volkswagen group of companies. It is worth adding that the lubricant is suitable for different operating conditions and for different modes of movement. The following technical indicators are worth noting:
Indicators | Tolerance | Correspondence |
Main technical parameters of the composition: |
- viscosity at 40 degrees – 108.51 sq. mm/s;
- viscosity at 100 degrees – 15.99 sq. mm/s;
- viscosity index - 157;
- flash/pour point – 226/-38.
- MB 229.1;
- RENAULT RN0700;
- VW 502.00/505.00.
For the convenience of users, the lubricant is available in different release forms. In particular, bottles and canisters of 1,4,5,7, 10 and 20 liters are of interest to private car enthusiasts. The listed volumes are quite enough to replace the lubricant and for topping up, if necessary. Wholesalers will find barrels of 60.208 and 1000 liters, in which the lubricant is sold at a reduced price.
Positive and negative aspects of the product
The presented product Manol 10W-40 has many advantages that allow it to be used in various cars. The lubricant also has disadvantages. We highlight the following points as the “strengths” of the substance:
- excellent anti-wear characteristics. The lubricant protects the motor from the negative influence of the external environment with the help of the formed film and reduces friction of the unit parts;
- the product ensures that the engine starts in the range of -30 - + 40 degrees Celsius;
- the substance has a low cost - from 219 rubles per liter;
- promotes economical fuel consumption and prevents the formation of various deposits and soot;
- does not oxidize or age;
- fakes are rare on the market, since the oil is not too expensive;
- versatility of use.
Some car enthusiasts also note disadvantages of the lubricant. In particular, it is worth noting that the replacement interval is shorter than stated by the manufacturer, and sometimes problems arise with starting the engine in the cold. Otherwise, reviews about the lubricant are only positive. Additional details and lubrication are presented in the video:

Reviews of MANNOL 10W-40 oil
The lubricant composition for engines MANNOL 10W-40 has proven itself well during tests and inspections. Feedback from regular users will help complete the overall picture of the product:

Recently I had to fill myself with cheap oil; on the canister it was written MANNOL 7711 OEM 5W-40 for Daewoo GM 1L. The seller assured that this is a fully synthetic motor oil made in Germany. Actually, I fell for this, because the Germans, as you know, are famous for their scrupulous and pedantic attitude to detail. I’ll say right away that I wasn’t fascinated by the oil. In general, average quality oil at a low price.

On a long trip, my hydraulic compensators began to ring, I looked at the oil in the crankcase and there was absolutely zero oil in the crankcase, the dipstick was dry. In short, I had to stop at the first gas station I came across and buy the oil that was there. And there was - drum roll - only MANNOL 5W oil. Don’t even ask what I thought then, it should be clear that my engine was finished. But it was not there! The butter turned out to be superb and I am very pleased.

It turns out that this is a very good new generation synthetic oil, which is not only universal, that is, intended for all types of engines, but also really all-season, because I bought it in November, and already in December the temperature dropped below 25 degrees below zero, and In the yard, the car started when cold with absolutely no problems, and the oil itself at this temperature did not lose either viscosity or fluidity! I’ve already driven it for almost 12 thousand, I’m not going to change it yet, and it hasn’t even gotten too bad - I’ve only added about 100 grams at this mileage. Very cool, unrealistically simple!

Frosts began to fall -35 and -40 at night, and the box began to freeze. I changed the oil to Castrol synthetic, almost 1.8 liters came in. I also bought the Manol additive. Fill one tube per liter of oil. After the replacement, everything became fine, in any frost everything starts and the box does not freeze.
I believe the flushes, I tried Lil Mannol myself, the expansion joints began to jingle less, and then quieted down for a while. We mocked that car and tried everything))))))))))))))))))) Apparently the Mannol thickened the oil and the chattering disappeared and the zhor did not stop
We changed the oil because the front end was stiff when turning. After reading, I bought Manol maxpower 75w140 and the original Mopar additive 120 ml. Open it up! We cleaned everything, there weren't a lot of shavings. I filled in the additive and then the oil. It fit just under the filler plug. After the replacement I drove 15 km until I noticed any effect. I'll watch.
To be honest, the Manolov additive is a waste of money. She doesn't help at all. If you really need results, then you won’t find better than American Hi-Gear.
I tried this additive and liked it. At first nothing changed, but after 800-1000 km, the car became more dynamic and the engine began to run softer and quieter.

Classic is always popular
A classic from Mannol - universal semi-synthetic all-season motor oil MANNOL Classic 10W40. With this, as they say, both to the feast and to the world.
Product Description
Semi-synthetic Mannol Classic 10v40 contains a package of modern high-quality anti-wear, energy-saving and cleaning additives. It provides uniform, stable lubrication and wear protection, thereby extending engine life.
Has excellent cleaning characteristics. Well prevents the formation of soot, soot and varnish deposits. Resistant to oxidation and destruction.
It also has excellent low and high temperature properties. Stable viscosity does not depend on fluctuations in ambient temperature, prevents the lubricant from thickening in cold weather and becoming too thin in hot weather.
The oil facilitates cold starting of the car and protects the power unit from the first moments of its operation, quickly distributing and reaching the standard pressure.
Features of the lubricant product
Manol motor oil is characterized as a semi-synthetic lubricant with universal application capabilities. The lubricant contains additives whose action is aimed at anti-wear, energy-saving and detergent properties.
The product forms a reliable oil coating on all structural surfaces of the engine. As a result, the slip coefficient increases and rotating parts wear out less, prolonging their service life.
The energy saving of Manol motor oil lies in maximum oil fluidity and stable viscosity. The lubricant penetrates into all technological areas of the internal structure of the motor, protecting at the highest possible level. During winter frosts with low ambient temperatures, starting a cold engine receives minimal resistance from the lubricant. Accordingly, less fuel is consumed, which leads to fuel savings and a reduction in the financial costs of the car owner.
Oil lubricant has good cleaning properties. During the combustion of fuel liquid in the cylinder block, carbon deposits appear on the walls and parts. Manol motor oil prevents the accumulation of such negative deposits by washing them from metal surfaces and dissolving them in their own mass. At the same time, the viscosity parameters of the oil do not cause any particular damage in terms of performance. The next mandatory oil change will remove all the waste from the used oil.
Application area
Mannol Classic lubricant has great versatility. It is suitable for many types of engines running on gasoline, diesel and even gas fuel. Compatible with turbocharged, direct injection, multi-valve systems.

Additive Mannol Metal Conditioner
This high-quality additive used for motor fluid provides reliable protection of hydraulic compensators and metal rings of the piston system from corrosive effects and premature wear as a result of combustion of fuel waste. It contains only slightly soluble elements. After using Manol Conditioner, the following positive aspects are observed:
- increasing the resistance of the main components of the internal combustion engine to premature wear;
- increased resistance to corrosion at high temperatures;
- formation of a heat-resistant film for reliable protection of parts;
- continuous and efficient engine operation under the most severe conditions;

There was a case, I was seduced by the low cost of this oil. Filled it up. Soon the hydraulic compensators began to knock. It was also frosty here. The oil thickened, the engine refused to start, and could barely warm it up. Then we also had to spend money on repairs. I will not recommend it to anyone!

Many people write that this is a bad oil. Don't trust them! I've been using it for five years now and no problems. The engine runs smoothly with it, even in cold weather. And to avoid getting a fake, I order by article number on a trusted website.
Alexander, 55 years old
Good oil is inexpensive, accessible and of high quality. The quality is quite satisfactory.
