The VAZ car brand is known all over the world. Currently, the domestic auto industry produces competitive models that are almost in no way inferior to foreign cars. The latest Lada models deserve special attention. These representatives exceeded all the expectations of car enthusiasts. In them, manufacturers took into account all the nuances and created models in accordance with European standards, but at the same time maintained reasonable prices.
Lada Vesta
"Lada-Vesta" is a B-class car. Its presentation took place in the summer of 2014. Large-scale production began a year later in Izhevsk. The Vesta's body type is a sedan. Lada Granta
Lada Granta is the first sedan based on the modernized Kalina platform. However, AvtoVAZ was not going to stop there, and already in 2013 the Granta hatchback was released. Its prototype was the once famous VAZ 2109 model, but it is quite large in size.
In new versions, the manufacturer has abandoned the use of low-quality materials, so specific odors are now completely absent. In functional terms, the sedan and hatchback are not inferior to their imported counterparts.
Although the new Lada model appeared in 2010, trials and tests are still being carried out. Therefore, at the moment, car owners claim that the car is perfectly tuned. Body strength, aerodynamics, engine performance and other functions are fully consistent with use on Russian roads.
As for the exterior and interior, everything here is done in the spirit of AvtoVAZ. The body, headlights, and radiator grille certainly define the Lada brand. The car is equipped with a 1.6 liter engine, the number of valves depends on the configuration. For example, in standard – 8, and in luxury – 16.

Lada Kalina
The latest Lada-Kalina models presented a combined version of all AvtoVAZ cars. Their development began back in 1993. The first presentation of the sedan took place in 2000, the hatchback in 1999, and the station wagon in 2001. Large-scale production of the Kalina was launched in 2004.
The Lada Kalina car is designed with the features of a city vehicle. It is quite compact, which allows it to easily maneuver on the roads, is visually attractive and quite stable. The latest Lada-Kalina models (second generation) are available in only two body types: station wagon and hatchback. The latter inherited the doors and roof. But the station wagon now has roof rails. As for light optics, there are no big changes. The only difference: the shape of the rear headlights has been stretched somewhat, now they extend onto the fender.
The advantages of the second generation are still noticeable. According to the owners of Kalina, the body has become more rigid, and this, in turn, indicates the level of safety. Little-known features and options of the VAZ-2114 car
Any car produced since 2010 has a lot of additional options and sensors inside. For this purpose, the manufacturer has created a separate book called “Car Operating Instructions.” Many car owners believe that there is nothing useful in it and study the car on their own over time. And after 10 years, they learn from friends that it turns out that their car has useful sensors and options.
Using the VAZ-2114 as an example, we’ll figure out what options there may be in a car that the driver may not even be aware of.
Hidden options . At first glance, the VAZ-2114 is an ordinary, unremarkable car. Despite the fact that there is practically no decor in the cabin, it is equipped with options that cannot be found out just like that.
The very first option is the glove compartment . Many will think - what’s so unusual about the glove compartment, it opens and closes the same way. But no! In the VAZ-2114 it can be opened either in the usual way or through the top. Many car owners drive and do not realize that the top lid of the glove compartment, located on the dashboard, can be opened through the bottom.
The second option is mirror adjustment . Many drivers encounter problems when the adjustment tabs fall off or break. So, in the VAZ-2114 there is another way to configure it. There is a small compartment on the back of the mirror; you can remove the cover from it and see the bolt. If you loosen it, you can adjust the mirror as convenient as possible, and then tighten it again.
The third option is reclining seats . Not all cars can boast of this feature. In the VAZ-2114 you can even recline the front seats forward. There are 2 levers under the seat. The fourth option is child protection . The VAZ-2114 car is equipped with a special function that allows you to lock the rear doors. Lada Priora
A new Lada model, the Priora, appeared in 2007. Initially, the car was produced only as a sedan. However, after the model gained popularity, AvtoVAZ decided to launch production of a station wagon and a hatchback. Car enthusiasts characterize the Priora as a promising vehicle with distinct, solid appearance features.
When developing the car, the goal was to produce a car with the maximum level of comfort, safety, reliability, functionality and ease of maintenance. Also an important issue was the pricing policy. The price was not too high. Priora is equipped with a 16-valve 1.6-liter power unit. It is powerful enough that it allows you to quickly reach a speed of 100 km/h (in 11.5 seconds).
There are three options for additional equipment for the car:
- Standard: immobilizer, stamped-welded wheels, seat belt adjustment, electric luggage compartment lock, air filtration system.
- Standard: central locking, one airbag, rear-view mirrors with control and heating, electric front windows.
- Luxury: door open sensors, three seat belts and head restraints in the rear seat, backlighting, on/off indicators for light optics, two airbags, etc.
Lada Largus
"Lada-Largus" is a B-class station wagon. This car is designed for 5-7 seats. The car debuted for the first time in Moscow. In the summer of 2012, serial production of Largus began. This release is notable for the fact that AvtoVAZ began cooperation with Renault-Nissan.
The characteristics of the Lada-Largus are fully consistent with the new standards. The car was equipped with two types of gasoline engines: 8 and 16 valves. The gearbox is mechanical. When starting from a stop, the car reaches 100 km/h in 13.4 seconds. Fuel consumption with an 8-valve engine is 8 liters, and with a reinforced unit – 7.5 liters. The car is based on the VO platform. The equipment is presented in three options: normal, standard, luxury.

Costs typically vary. But in general, it is stable, and each body has its own individual price, depending on several parameters.

- Decide on the body model. VAZ today produces several body variations. A standard purchase will allow you to replace the old body with a new one. It also happens that some car owners want to change the body of one type to another (for example, a sedan to a station wagon). This is called a remake and should only be done within the same model. Again, if this is a 21102 sedan, then the conversion is only possible with options 2112 or 2111;
- Decide on the package. This means the following: today AvtoVAZ bodies are supplied in 2 trim levels, first and third. What does the VAZ 1st configuration body mean? This is an assembled body, implying a ready-made interior assembly with electrical appliances, glass, wiring and some attached body elements, such as bumpers. The third configuration is simply a bare “body in metal”, but painted and primed. It costs less than a complete body;
- Determine the color of the future body. This can be done easily if you look through special catalogs. As a last resort, if the desired color is not available, you can take the body to a service station for painting.

Lada 4×4 Urban
The latest Lada models, the prototype of which was the well-known Niva, have been produced under the name Urban since 2014. Their presentation took place in Moscow. The uniqueness of this model is that all improvements were invented directly by users.
The changes did not take long to arrive. The new version of the Lada 4×4 is equipped with completely different bumpers, a radiator grille, and a 16-inch wheelbase.
