The exhaust is made of a dual exhaust system and is perfectly integrated into the diffuser part of the bumper. The system should produce a richer roar due to larger diameter pipes.

What about the Lada sports model? Probably these days you can’t even dream about it. After all, our consumers have long stopped believing that they will ever be able to release a sports version of their car products. But apparently, recently something has really begun to change in the right direction. For example, Avtovaz brought a concept car, a sports version of the Lada Vesta, to the auto exhibition in Moscow.

Some may initially think that no one will need this version of the model. Especially if we take into account the production of cars in full, namely, that AvtoVAZ to this day does not have a powerful, high-quality engine and a sports gearbox. But in fact, not everything is so bad, our country is an active participant in the international auto racing series WTCC, for which a sports modification of the Lada Vesta car is extremely necessary.

It is for this reason that Avtovaz presented several sports car concepts at the 2016 auto show in Moscow. The sports version of the Lada Vesta will be intended for the mass market. But we have no doubt that another version of the car will be created on its basis, which will be specifically intended for professional motorsport. According to some reports, the power of the cheapest sports version of the car will be 150 hp.

But the price of the new flagship still remains a mystery: last year Bo Andersson said that the Lada Vesta would cost 400 thousand rubles. This is an urban crossover (or “high hatchback” - in factory terminology), built on a common platform with Lada Largus, Renault Logan and Nissan Almera. Video and photographic materials from three years ago captured the prototype in sufficient detail, but finding differences between the production car and the concept turned out to be difficult. It was initially announced that the base version would have three colors, with the possibility of expanding the range to 18.

What to expect from the next versions of Lada Vesta

The company's management, led by the director, made it clear that they strictly fulfill all their promises. Next in line is the Lada Vesta Cross, the concept of which was shown on August 26, 2020 in Moscow at the Off-Road Show. It will be launched into production in the summer of 2020, and there is no doubt about it. There is a huge amount of work ahead to implement this project. Although it is made on the basis of an already produced sedan, it will differ significantly from it. The power unit will be the most powerful VAZ engine, with a volume of 1.8 liters and a power of 122 hp. According to project manager Oleg Grunenkov, a version with all-wheel drive is being considered. But in this case, the chassis will be largely redesigned. The rear suspension of a production sedan is not suitable for this, which means that there are already developments, and the only question is technological implementation. The improvement in handling noted during tests of the pre-sale version of Vesta was largely achieved due to the fact that an original and efficient transmission was developed, although it was developed based on Renault parts. It is not known exactly what checkpoint will be used. Information about this will appear very soon.

The Cross version is not the only promising new product for 2020. Buyers are also waiting for other body options. Initially, there were reports that a hatchback and then a station wagon would follow in the series. But the company's official statement corrected this information. After the launched sedan, a station wagon is planned to be released. The date when the hatchback will roll off the assembly line has not yet been determined. There is not even a pre-production concept in this body yet. But no one doubts that it will happen soon.
