Therefore, it is necessary to use additional devices - relays with normally open contacts. It must be connected correctly, and the entire ignition system must also begin to function. Therefore, there is a need to use additional relays, the contacts of which will close when a signal is sent to autostart the engine, assembled with your own hands.
The relay windings are connected to the positive terminal of the battery. The control is done in minus mode, this will be much safer. The wires coming from the second signaling channel are connected as follows: the first - to ground, the second - to the terminals of all used relays. The contacts of these devices are connected in parallel to the terminals of the ignition switch. It is in this place that it is most convenient to connect the entire system.
Completing the car alarm installation
After complete installation of the anti-theft system, check all the parts and compare them according to the diagrams. When installing on a VAZ 2110 or 2112, check all parts, inputs, outputs and connections, since the alarm connections are slightly different in these models.

Is it possible to connect automatic engine start to cars, with some technical differences.
Undoubtedly, auto engine start, also called remote start, is a very useful thing for any car, and at any time of the year. And this useful function can be installed on both gasoline and diesel engines. Only for diesel engines, the glow plugs need some time to warm up before starting the engine. And the autostart system will not turn on the starter first, but will first activate the glow plug relay.
On a gasoline (injection) car, when you press the key fob button, the ignition will turn on and after that the electric fuel pump starts working, and after the gas pump pumps up the required pressure in the power system, it turns off and the car’s electric starter immediately starts working. From the factory, the starter has standard protection against prolonged operation (more than 30 seconds) and protection against the starter operating when the engine is running (that is, the starter stops working when the engine starts), so additional protection does not need to be installed.
Some nuances of connecting remote start exist for both cars with a conventional manual transmission and an automatic one. For example, on a car with a manual transmission, you should always leave the car in neutral gear, otherwise when you try to start the engine, the car left in gear may jerk forward.
To prevent this from happening, the engine autostart is connected through the neutral lamp, and if the gearbox is not set to neutral (and the neutral lamp does not light up), then when you press the key fob button, nothing will happen. You can also connect the autostart system through a reed switch, the contacts of which will be located opposite the shift lever set to neutral, and a magnet is glued to the lever, with the help of which the reed switch contacts will close.
And if some gear is engaged, and not neutral, then the lever with the magnet will move away from the reed switch and its contacts will open, and autostart will be impossible. By the way, autostart is also connected through the contacts (or lamp) of the handbrake (manual parking brake) and if the car is not put on the handbrake after the trip, then the subsequent autostart will not work either.
What is needed to install an automatic engine start.
In order to have such a useful function as remote engine start on your car, you will need to spend a certain amount of money on purchasing an alarm system with this function and having it installed by specialists. But for some car owners, installing an alarm with this function (start module) can be quite expensive (from 30 thousand rubles).
But for less wealthy drivers, you can save a lot if you install an alarm with only one autostart function, that is, without connecting various security sensors, locks, etc. In this case, the installation will cost around 9 thousand rubles (for example, based on the Pandora LX 3257 alarm system). In this case, the engine will be started remotely by pressing the corresponding button on the remote control (and not on the mobile phone).
Moreover, when you press a button, the engine will start for a certain time, and it can be extended at any time. You can also select and set autorun at the exact time you need, for example at 7.15, as described above. And it will be possible to install another very useful function in severe frosts: set the time for periodic starts at night.
For example, you can make your car engine start for just 15 minutes every couple of hours. This will allow the engine oil (or diesel fuel in the system) not to thicken in severe frosts, and starting the engine in the morning will be quite easy. And on some systems there is a function in which the engine will automatically start when the engine temperature drops to the selected value (the engine temperature sensor will be activated).
You can order specialists to install a system (based on the Star Line M21 GSM module), in which the engine will be started not from the key fob, but from your mobile phone. In this case, the service will be a little more expensive (about 10 thousand rubles), but there will be the following opportunities:
- Remote start of your engine by command from an SMS, or a call, or a mobile application.
- It will also be possible to configure the start of your engine on certain days of the week and at a certain time (by alarm).

Is it possible to autostart the engine yourself?
It is possible, but some money will still be spent, since a factory alarm will be needed. The alarm system will need a feedback system and a key fob with a free (additional) button. This button is most often needed to open the trunk, and it should be used.
And the trunk can be opened using the already installed selenoid and an additional button, which is installed somewhere under the dashboard. Or use a homemade electric lock for the trunk, and an example of such a simple circuit can be seen here.
You will also need five relays, one of the relays will need a five-pin (it will be used instead of the standard fuel pump relay). And the four remaining relays will use four-pin ones. Well, for all five relays you will need to buy terminal blocks - four four-pin and one five-pin, respectively. All this is not expensive at all. Well, I hope every self-respecting craftsman has a soldering iron with solder and rosin, as well as heat-shrinkable casing and insulating tape.
After purchasing all the components, you will need to assemble everything according to the given simple electrical diagram, which is already distributed on the Internet. This electrical circuit is designed to assume that your machine has standard starter protection. If not, then the starter can be modified by installing a more advanced protection circuit on it, which is described in this article (and it is not the only one).
As mentioned above, you should replace the fuel pump relay with a five-pin one and connect pins 85 and 86 as in the diagram, and leave the remaining pins as they were connected before. And the red wires in the diagram are positive wires. It should also be taken into account that you need to connect two wires from the gasoline electric pump relay - one of them is connected from contact 88 of the gasoline pump relay, and the second wire is connected to the control of the pump relay. This is necessary so that there is some delay in turning on the starter.
The delay is necessary to check the system, whether the handbrake is clamped and whether the shift lever is in the neutral position. The shift lever needs to be modified as described above, that is, install a magnet and a reed switch with contacts that, when some speed is turned on, will always be open and this will not turn on the autostart. And when the lever is set to neutral, the contacts will close and the engine autostart system will be operational.
Everything is assembled according to the diagram, and all the relays need to be placed in a dry place under the hood.
